For those of you out there who have
always wanted to learn to play the bass and were also secretly yearning to be
taught by Mike Inez, your lucky day is coming.
Mike shot a bass lesson video a few
weeks ago in L.A., and I was fortunate enough to tag along to watch (and eat
free pizza).
I don't have any info on the name of
the video, the release date, or the company he shot it for, but here's what I
do know: The lesson consists of Mike & John Tempesta (Testament, White
Zombie, The Cult) playing "Again" & "A Little Bitter",
and then Mike going over the songs by himself and discussing notes, style, frets,
and a bunch of other mumbo jumbo that was over my head, but that I'm sure
aspiring bass players will eat up.
When we get more information and the
video is closer to being released, we'll let you know, but in the meantime here
are some photos to tide you over.
